Winter Schedule: Oct/Nov/Dec

OCT 23 • Wonderful Wednesday – Trunks and ZUMBA 6:30pm-8pm
It’s ZUMBA night with Joyce. Come and ZUMBA a while, then stick around to finalize plans and preparations for this fall’s Trunk or Treat.

OCT 25 • IMPACT Community: Dinner & Movie Night 5:30pm-9pm
Volunteer for set-up, dining help, or discussion groups surrounding the movie 42; the story of Jackie Robinson. Enjoy the meal, the movie and the fellowship with Christ as we share this event with families and students in our community. See Rev. Donnie for more info!

OCT 27 • PINK SUNDAY 6:30pm-8pm
In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our entire congregation has been challenged to show up in PINK this Sunday morning for worship! Feel free to make pink posters sharing “In Honor of..” — “In Memory of…” — “In Support of ..” that we can post around campus with our loved one’s names.

OCT 30 • TRUNK or TREAT 5pm-8pm
Volunteers report for duty in the FLC for dining, in the parking lot for booths & games, and to help as families set up trunks for candy. Have a GREAT night of fun and festivities as we pour out our love on the little ghosts and ghouls (and their families) as we host the community for Trunk or Treat fun.

NOV 2 • Inaugural MI5k 7am-10am-ish
Volunteers report for duty as our church hosts the community 5k run. Some will run, others will be volunteering at various work stations. See our IronWoman, Stephanie Sadowski for more info! Look online for volunteer and registration information: mountainisland5k.com or on our site

NOV 3 • We are HOSTING Snacktime 9am-10:30am
Please meet in the Family Life Center at 9am. We will set up, serve, and clean up for the social time between church and Sunday School. We’ll need your help. Many hands make light work. No SS class today. Short devotion after we’re done!

NOV 6 • Wonderful Wednesday 6:30pm-8pm
Following dinner tonight, we’ll hang with Rev. Jim in the FLC for our first Table Talk session!

NOV 7 • Chrysalis flight begins for our Butterflies Starting around 5:30pm
We have a few Youth heading to this spiritual retreat weekend together: Abby Humphries, Ada Thompson, Rachel Tilly, and maybe a couple of girls more.Their send-off dinner begins this evening – please pray for them that they are blessed with joy and love during this long weekend event! F.Y.I. The BOYS weekend will begin February 20th 2014. See Danny for more info about the BOYS flight.

NOV 10 • Chrysalis flight closing for our Butterflies 3:30pm-7:30pm-ish
Want to join us for “closing” and dinner Sunday evening? Parents and friends of butterflies are encouraged to attend, even if they have not attended a Chrysalis or Emmaus weekend. Youth friends who are interested and able to make the trip, please contact Danny ASAP to discuss and make plans!

NOV 13 • C.I.A. Night at Wonderful Wednesday 6:30pm-8pm
C.I.A. = Christ In Action: Sandwich Construction and focus on church missions! This week during C.I.A. Youth will host an Operation Christmas Child shoebox packing party!

NOV 20 • Wonderful Wed – Healthy Habits and CHRISTMAS 6:30pm-8pm
We have a guest speaker tonight after dinner. Come and listen to a discussion about 10 Top Health habits, then stick around to help carry Christmas decorations down to the Sanctuary to start prepping for the holidays!

NOV 24 • Deck the Halls & Crismon Celebration Noon – 2pm
Stay after church today to help set-up the Crismon Tree and decorate the Sanctuary. Light snack provided, but you are welcome to pack a full lunch for yourself or to make family plans to have food for lunch there.

NOV 24 • NATIVITY CASTING and 1st REHEARSAL Sunday Evening
Come back this evening to begin work on our community performances of the Live Nativity. 4:30-6:30. Do not miss your mandatory practice schedule for this historic 20th Anniversary year! Your commitment needs to be clear and definite. Thank you.

NOV 27 • There is NO Wonderful Wednesday Tonight
Over the river, and through the wood, to Grandfather’s house we go; the horse knows the way to carry the sleigh through the white and drifted snow! Have a great Thanksgiving break.

DEC 1 • NATIVITY REHEARSAL Sunday EveningsCome back this evening to continue work on our community performances of the Live Nativity. Times to be determined. Do not miss your mandatory practice schedule for this historic 20th Anniversary year. Your commitment needs to be clear and definite. Thank you.

DEC 4 • Wonderful Wednesday 6:30pm-8pm
Activities to be determined. Most likely will be Live Nativity related. Come and be a part of the fun!

DEC 7 • NATIVITY Set Buidling Day 9am-1pm
Strong Youth, Dad’s and Older Brothers; please join us as the manger stage and set is built for next weekend’s community performances of the Live Nativity.

DEC 8 • NATIVITY REHEARSAL  Sunday Afternoon
Very important mandatory rehearsal. We will start this rehearsal early in the afternoon to ensure that we beat the evenings darkness, and so that we may finish up in time to enjoy the Children’s Christmas Program and Refreshments Sunday evening.
